Hi all
It is very very frustrating to see that there is absolutely no
information on upcoming updates on the main program.
It would be quite easy to say either there will be no updates, or to say
which points are being worked on for next update.
If there will be improvement, I would like to see
I had same thoughts about 3 years ago. My guess is DX4WIN is nearing
end-of-life. I was an early adopter. I've since moved one to HRD.
My 2 cents.

DX4Win has been motionless in respect to program improvements for many years
now, probably six or seven. The update from v7 to v8 was pretty much useless as
the digital inclusion never was successful.
I moved from WJ2O in 2004, when DX4Win was pretty much state of the art, at

It would be nice if Paul would communicate with his user base a bit more
frequently. I think he is trying to set some sort of a record to see how
long the program will maintain an active user base without him ever
responding or providing an update again. Hi, hi

As I'm not very active these days and don't really chase awards any
more, DX4WIn still suits my needs. If I were more active and chasing
awards, I would have looked elsewhere about 5 years ago.
I predict the next update will be a patch to keep it working with Win9.

I've used DX4WIN for years with no problems. Have looked at others,

Just as an FYI:
DXLab can import a DX4WIN log. All you have to do is convert it to ADIF
and then import it. It can also compare your log with LOTW and flag all
discrepancies. When I ran a full comparison against LOTW, DXLab even
located data entry errors made by the DXCC desk when they
You've mentioned how DXLab can take an ADIF file, but does that
include one's QSL status for each QSO?
Yes, if that status is exported according to the ADIF standard. ADIF
specifies QSL_SENT (I,R,Y,N), QSL_RCVD (I,R,Y,N), LotW_QSL_SENT,
LotW_QSL_RCVD, eQSL_QSL_SENT, and eQSL_QSL_RCVD.

Take your time Paul I'll wait for the new version.
