an old email I had sent in the list
1. Make a txt file with notepad, containing the calls you
want to be alert.
Call it iota.txt (not mandatory)
2. Right-click on the DX Spots window and select "Membership list"
3. Type @ under Id if you want to have a high priority
(yellow colour) alert

doesnt allow me to introduce more than those 9...

Hi Jan,
I think you need to set "DX Alerts" to something other than "None".
Jan it should work except you have a limit to spotters under
prefix/zones for spotters.
By the way i remind how i manage my iota interesting stations. This is
an email i had sent some time ago...

Hi
I am trying to activate this function,
but doesn't manage to get it worked. Using version 8.0.5
I have set these parameters like:
Warn msg: Ignore
Audio/Voice: Call
DX Alerts: None
Callsign Alert: YB8XM/P
Is there any other parameter I shall observe??
Thanks for any advice.

Tnx Kostos so much for your reply.
Good way to work around a small alert window.
Problem hr is earlier versions did not have membership list. In fact I run ver5
in win 7, it works , but NOT all features work, but logs okay and tracks.
I dont see a packet window anymore,
I run cluster in RTTY
Bernie there is an alternative solution.
Guy on4aoi has showed to us this feature.
Read the following how it works for me from a previous message...
So here is a guide how to use the membership list and have an alert on possible
iota or other operations...
1. Make a txt file with notepad, contai
Hi,
I just noticed after all these years that the Callsign alert box is limited
to about 50 characters, in my version.
No more room for alerts , all filled up, can't add more call signs to list.
Has this been expanded in newer versions?
Out of room

I looked in the archives as I thought this had been discussed before,
but couldn't find it. Is there a way to configure the callsign alert
feature, so once you work the station on a band, it doesn't alert you
when it is spotted on that band again? Thanks, John

The easiest way to remove all calls from your DX4WIN.MAS2 file is to
open the Membership List (from the DX Spots menu) then click on the
"Clear members list" button. You'll still need to reload the member
data you're interested in. You don't have to delete the file.

That's the one problem, there is no way to do this. You'd have to
rebuild the membership list from scratch, minus the call(s) you want
to remove.

I use this feature to alert me for new iota numbers as i am an iota chaser.
Is possible in a future update to have more calls there. During summer
especially there are many iota activations and ususally have long calls (for
example SV8/SV1DPI) and the room on the box is not enough.
