In one of next releases it would be useful to highlight dupes in RED, not only
in QSO window, but ALSO in the BandMap window (dupes are now shown in Grey in
BandMap).

Bill,
If you are even moderately serious in your contesting efforts, I
strongly suggest you look at a dedicated contest logging program such as
N1MM. Once you get past the learning curve you will wonder how you ever
got along without it. DX4Win is a logging program first, second, and
third.
When I enable contest mode, nothing happens. I don’t see a field for sequence
#s and text for QSO doesn’t display in QSO notes. I tried changing to advanced
user but that didn't help. Also, selection and edit group names are not
available as filter selections. Am I missing something really
Hi Bill,
In order to make this work, you must fill in all the information in the box
that pops up when you select Contest Mode - including the date and time
(which has to be before you start entering QSOs), the Contest Mode Enabled
box must be checked and the text you want added must be entered.
Hello,
When i enable contestmode, i can't see the next contest
number on the QSO screen (I start with seq. number 1, not 0 zero).

I can't get the QSX frequency to display on the QSO notes or to
appear for a saved QSO record.
The transceiver is in split mode and the 'contest mode' submenu under
the QSO menu has 'contest mode' enabled with '$$' in the text 'to add
to the QSO note' window.

Chris,
Depends a little if the contest is going at this moment or you want to
do this after the contest.
You can set a default group number for each new QSO
(File | Preferences | QSO) and use that group number
in a filter. Duping of the QSOs is still performed based on
the starting time of the
The manual indicates (pg. 130) that when in Contest Mode, any duplicate
call sign on the same band will turn red. When I test this, the call
sign remains black when it is double-clicked and goes to the QSO window.
I have the contest mode enabled and a date and time set prior to the QSO
entry. Any

Works OK for me. Must be for same band, same mode. Using Ver 6.03.
Try typing the call in - see if that works.
HNY to all, and let's pray for peace in 2004!
