[Dx4win] AFSK RTTY with KAM

Hi, I have an older KAM all mode TNC that I am trying to set up for RTTY using AFSK. I have it wired for the Packet Jack on the radio and the HF port on the TNC. I am using the Yaesu MarkV. I am able to decode RTTY when I am in RTTY mode, but cannot transmit unless the radio is in Packet mode. I

John, You are not doing anything wrong. The Yaesu transceivers operate AFSK/PSK in PKT mode and FSK in RTTY. If you want to use the RTTY mode setting on the Mark-V you need to connect the FSK signal (Pin 5 of the 8 Pin DIN) and Ground (Pin 2 of the 8 Pin DIN) to pins 1 and 4 respectively
