[Dx4win] Cable interface
Hola Josep. Felices fiestas... Hi guys..! which kind of cable PC-to-radio do you use with DX4WIN..? Is it a normal CAT cable..? I would like to try some PSK31 and RTTY from the program now that I have it already configured. [Dx4win] Rig Files (FTDX-9000?)
Has one been developed for the FTDX-9000? (Now that I think about, for that price, it should probably be capable of writing its own.) 73, Joe K2XX Dick Flanagan wrote: At 05:21 PM 12/24/2006, Rick Murphy wrote: As far as I know no new rig capabilities were added between 7.01 and 7.02. There are four more 7.0.2 rig files than 7.0.1. I know the IC-756 Pro II, IC-756 Pro III and IC-7800 are new. I'm not sure what the fourth new file is. I'll be setting up a IC-756 Pro III and will be using the 7.0.2 rig file. [Dx4win] Cable interface
Hi Jo, and the fellows in the reflector... I also need the answer. Could someone be kind enough to translate this into English, please? Tnx es 73 de Jo, YC0LOW Sorry, I didn't think my message could be of general interest :) ... Here is: The cables you need depend on what do you want to do. To control the radio with DX4Win, you need the proper CAT cable for your radio. To operate on digital modes only, you need a shielded cable from the LINE OUT connector on your PC to the TX audio input on the radio (preferably not the MIC input, but some other for higher signal level), and another similar cable from the RX audio output on the radio to the LINE IN connector on the PC. You might need some adapting circuit between both equipments, but I use only the cables with good results. [Dx4win] Compare DX4WIN DXCC to LoTW - Windows GUI test version
Thanks to several people, I now have a long list of bugs to fix. Several of them are in the original command-line program. I'll update the Windows program during the next few days. I will NO LONGER maintain the command-line version, since the Windows version is easier to use. Here's what's on the list: Old bugs: - must include Deleted countries in DX4WIN DXCC listing - 70CM band from DX4WIN causes problems - ARRL LoTW report format changed slightly, could crash program - Name of SERRANA BANK RONCADOR CAY in ARRL report changed - Differences output when not worked in DX4WIN can have garbage characters New bugs/features (Windows program only) - Add -S switch for treating DX4WIN submitted as checked - multi-page output to printer (and use fixed font) - save output listing to a file, or allow user to cut/paste text from screen - Add HELP button - Improve error checking of input files The first two releases should have been version 2.0 and 2.1. The next release will be version 2.2. I'll announce it here on the reflector. I still some to test the program using Windows 95/98/ME and Windows NT 4.0. I have heard that the program works with Windows 2000 and Windows XP. 73 - Jim AD1C -- Jim Reisert AD1C, 7 Charlemont Court, North Chelmsford, MA 01863 USA +978-251-9933, [EMAIL PROTECTED], http://www.ad1c.us
[Dx4win] TL4 Import and accurate logging
I'm considering moving to DX4Win. Has anyone successfully moved a Turbolog 4 log over please ? Also I saw some spots questioning the accuracy of the latest V7.02 Is it a flyer ? 73 Bob GU4YOX __ Sent via Cable Wireless Guernsey system at cwgsy.net From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tue Dec 26 20:02:22 2006 From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (N0KK, Kirk) Date: Tue Dec 26 20:07:35 2006 Subject: [Dx4win] Cable interface References: [EMAIL PROTECTED][EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] Message-ID: [EMAIL PROTECTED] In English: Hello Josep. Happy festivals... It Depends on what want to do. To control the radio since the DX4Win you need a cable CAT adequate for the radio. To operate in ways digital you need an overwhelmed cable among the exit LINE OUT of the computer and the entrance of audio of TX of the radio (preferably not the entrance of microphone, but some for greater level of sign), and another cable Similar between the exit of audio of RX of the radio and the entrance of audio of the computer (LINE IN). Possibly need some circuit of adaptation among both teams, although I use the cables without more and they function well.
