[Dx4win] Packet window colors
Alan was looking at the wrong window. He was looking at the Packet Window, which is not colorized. The DX Spots window (which *is* colorized) was buried behind it. He fixed the windows, but is there any way to reset all DX4WIN windows to the default size/position? He even installed without importing his preferences and the windows were still on top of each other. 73 - Jim AD1C --- ALAN BRAUN [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: I recently migrated all my old stuff to 7.03. In doing so, I've found that the color display in the packet window indicating what's needed what isn't, doesn't work anymore. Everything just appears in standard black text. A superficial perusal of the setup file (which I ported over from the old version) doesn't seem to show anything amiss. The help file talks about using the pop-up menu in the packet window to set an active award. The only thing that looks right when I do this is the settings menu, which just brings up the same setup file I've already checked. [Dx4win] Adding Clipperton?
Sigh...I hate getting old (or at least not being able to remember as well). I'm using DX4WIN vers 5.03. When I worked TX5C, it logs it as France. Can anyone refer me to a step by step way to have this be Clipperton (including long, lat zone and whatever other info might be needed). Frequency, and I think ADIF comment goes into Notes for this QSO field. As I previously wrote, received serial number goes into Recvd field. 73 - Jim AD1C On 3/8/2008 10:42 AM, K7ZO (Scott Tuthill) wrote: Where can I find a list of what ADIF field names correspond to what DX4WIN fields? Find the field you want to import into the RCVD block and do a search replace on that field, replacing the ADIF field name with SRX. You can put any alphanumeric up to 4 characters in that field. You can do this with any field into any block in DX4WIN. Just go to the adif.org website Jim sited below to find out the needed ADIF field names. If you don't get the expected results, just close DX4WIN without saving the log and start over. I do this with almost every log I import. 73, Alan N5NA -- Jim Reisert AD1C/?, [EMAIL PROTECTED], http://www.ad1c.us ___ Dx4win mailing list Dx4win@mailman.qth.net http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win

We were short of laptops with Win98 for using NA, so one station used WriteLog, and one paper-logged 10/15/160 for a few Qs. No networking because of RF problems in previous years. I normally import the NA files into DX4WIN 7.03.16 and then Excel, which the contest committee prefers over Cabrillo. This works fine. However WriteLog is a new one for me. The operator saved the log as both a .log and .wl file. He normally uses WL for his contesting and did not see any options for a ADIF-type export. Which one of these files will import into DX4WIN better, or do we need to something else? Thanks for any advice. I am anxious to see how many multipliers we had. 73 de Peg KB9LIE in SW Wisconsin USA - the YL at K9OT in WIQP Sunday Never miss a thing. If I attempt to enter (any) W5Axx call the program instantly and totally shuts down at the A keystroke. For example, if I wish to enter W5ADC I have to enter W5DC and then backspace to enter W5-A-DC. The program them behaves normally. Other W5 calls do enter as expected. The problem seems to be unique to W5Axx calls. Can anyone offer a solution or a why? 73!
