The CW announce was not the culprit. I have 100k QSOs in the log with 38 different group numbers and I was using a selection. Reverting to ALL QSOS made the difference. No more problems with the CPU approaching 100% duty cycle, now it remains in a few %. I exported my selection to a new log

Guy, This change made no difference. Jim, Again, for everybodys' information, I am using FT-9000 V31. Under preferences, baud rate is 4800, poll rate 5000, DTR and CTS both checked. The FT-950 is working except for the panorama function. Spots go to the radio properly when the spot is
