Greetings,
I experienced the same thing tonight trying to mate a
IC 756 Pro III as radio 1 in Ver. 8.
Thanks to Jim (AD1C) and to Tony (G8DQZ) for posting
and developing support for the IC910. I could not get it to
work with Ver 8 either.
In my case I am using a USB cable which emulates Com 5 f
It sounds like you have the CI-V transceive function turned on causing
data collisions. This is not recommended with DX4Win. Turn it off as per
instructions and it should work fine. I would prefer Paul support
transceive mode... but that isn't likely to happen soon...

I'm just starting out with DX4WIN 8; the rig is a IC-756 Pro III.
When I use the bandmap with "Follow radio" checked, it's pretty broken
due to completely wrong frequencies.
For example, the rig is showing 50.125 Mhz right now. The band map
says "717,415.56 6m". It's sort of stable at that reading
I don't see anything on the ARRL website saying that 7O1YGF is being
accepted. Where is that information coming from?

This is due to the "," in the Frequency field (European Windows
versions). Been discussed on the reflector before. I'm sure it's on
Paul's list.

Expand the QSO window using F5 until you see the award flags.
Use F8 to search for 7O1YGF.

You have the option to install 8.01 in a directory separate from your

Well done Oms...your reaction to the input and testing has proved there is
an issue for someone to address. So what is the difference between CW
sending in 7.07 and 8.01 I wonder?

I'm only guessing here... but D4W does a lookup on these lists in
various places. In order to do so very quickly I suspect the lists are
actually merged into an array and keyed on callsign. Once you load a
list it no longer exists as an independent object... it would have to be
reconstructed.

Yes I produced my own MAS2 and it was in the dx4win dir. I have replaced it

I'm puzzled by this behavior too and I haven't seen anything populate the

OK Oms, I follow.
What I have done is test both the 2n based interface and straight
sending via the sound card - the default installation config.
In both cases cannot replicate what you see BUT a suggestion:-

Just adding: the problem does not occur when sending via shortcut menu,
it only appears using the keyboard.

I did reproduce the problem whether sending CW to the radio through a
very basic interface or monitoring it using a regular sound card.
Interesting enough only the very first two character loose the space
between.

Hi folks
I'm noticing something very strange on the cw keyboard function.
When using the keyboard the first two letters are joined. In other
words, there is no space between the two first letters.
Some body else has noticed that?
Thanks in advance

Same problem in DX4WIN ver 7 and 8.
