Re: [Dx4win] Duplicate entries are not shown
I'm a longtime DX4WIN user from the start. I always use arrival sort. So this seemed to work differently when I loaded v9. That was yesterday. Today, it's back to what I was used to. Multiple spots for the same callsign not being filtered out. No clue what was up yesterday. Anyway, thanks for the response. 73, Kris N5KM On Mon, Nov 6, 2017 at 7:35 AM, Jim Reisert AD1Cwrote: > > From the DX Spots Window help: > > > > "Duplicate entries are not shown, and a later announcement of > > the same call on the same band and mode will update the time > > shown in the spot. Re: [Dx4win] DX4Win Stopped Working
DX4Win was connected through port 7300 to the VE7CC program and was working just fine. The Auto-connect box in Packet2 was checked. Everything was working fine. I clicked on Help, Check for Updates. I did the updates, DX4Win shut down and re-started. VE7CC was still running. It did not auto-connect, nor could I manually initiate the connection to VE7CC. I restored DX4Win from yesterday (except my log, of course) and all is fine again. Could be an issue with my PC and my permissions. 73, John K9EL -Original Message- From: dx4win-boun...@mailman.qth.net [mailto:dx4win-boun...@mailman.qth.net] On Behalf Of David Kozinn, K2DBK Sent: Monday, November 06, 2017 11:53 AM To: dx4win@mailman.qth.net Subject: Re: [Dx4win] DX4Win Stopped Working I just tested this and had no issues. This problem has been solved. Paul sent me detailed instructions (below) for moving my log over. I did what is described below and it seems to have worked fine. The QSO in question came through intact with the correct band and mode; and it is the only one with 'Label'=Y. I did not know I had to export the file from v4 first. Thanks to all, -Tony, K1KP = Using version 4: Open your log File | Export Select dx4win4 File | Export Pick a unique name: test1.dxq for example (Remember where that file is) Close program Using version 9 File | New Pick a unique name; could be test1 File | Import Select DX4WIN04 File | Import Select test1.DXQ Save your log Did these steps from memory, but it looks right :) --Paul, KK4HD __ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net Message delivered to arch...@mail-archive.com This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html

Re: [Dx4win] Duplicate entries are not shown
And I hope it stays that way!!! I love the option to select time vs arrival. I often switch to arrival during a major DXpedition to see all the QSX frequencies. John If you export and import ADIF when you upgrade, you will lose all your group names, filter selections and award flags. There is never a need to export/import when upgrading. Simply copying the log file (W9RPM.dxl) from the *old* SAVE directory to the *new* SAVE directory, and opening the file in the new location with the new version is enough. -- Jim Reisert AD1C,, http://www.ad1c.us __ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net Message delivered to arch...@mail-archive.com This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html

DX4WIN 8.05 and earlier did not have end dates, so typing in a DXpedition call long after it was over would still come up as the "right" country. There are many advantages to having both start and end dates. VK9GMW was active obnly from 2009/03/28 until 2009/04/13. [Dx4win] ONE QSL CARD - TAKE TWO!
OK so I'm still working on printing ONE QSL CARD. I gave up on trying to solve the printer issue with v407 and upgraded to v9. Time to get with the current decade! I opened my old file with v9.0.2.1134. I found the ONE QSL I wanted to print. I printed it (Yay!) I went to sign it and noticed that instead of 20m SSB it said 30m RTTY. I checked the QSO. It was wrong in the log. I opened the log in v407 and the QSO was correct. I exported my old log as ADIF with v407. I imported it into a new file with v9. The band and mode were correct. I went to print ONE QSL CARD. v9 wants to print 173,138 CARDS! v9 now sees my ENTIRE LOG with 'Label'=Y ???!?!?!?!?! ARRRGGHHH So obviously there is some trick to migrating from v407 to v9. What is it? Is there a list of migration instructions somewhere? -Tony, K1KP __ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net Message delivered to arch...@mail-archive.com This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
Re: [Dx4win] Prefix anomaly?
Roger The Country editor has not yet been enabled in V9. This has been mentioned on here several times. I presume that VK9GMW maps to Mellish Reef only for the duration of that operation. So, if you enter that call in today's date, it won't map to Mellish Reef because he's not currently there! 73, ian G4IIY -Original Message- From: dx4win-boun...@mailman.qth.net [mailto:dx4win-boun...@mailman.qth.net] On Behalf Of Roger D Johnson Sent: 06 November 2017 11:23 To: DX4Win Reflector Subject: [Dx4win] Prefix anomaly?
