Re: [Dx4win] Expert mode and DX Doubler

2018-12-17 Thread Joe Subich, W4TV

Dave,

In Windows Device Manager -> Ports (COM & LPT) you associate a Legacy
LPT Port Number (LPT1, LPT2, or LPT3) with your PCIe LPT port (Port
Settings tab for that port). While N1MM+ uses the port address from the
Resources tab, DX4win uses the Legacy Port Number (LPT1, LPT2, or LPT3)
to identify the LPT port for radio 1/2 signal (Parameters -> CW).

Alan, I did have to install the lptdriver as you suggested, but I also had
to reset the LPT port address in N1MM+ to match the address for the new PCIe

address in DX4WIN. I have emailed Paul. Thanks for the assist. 73, Dave -

Dave, I too am using my DX Doubler with 9.0.4 with Win7. I wonder if you
have installed the lptdriver? Assuming you installed DX4W directly in C:
drive, you will find this at C:/dx4w/drivers/lptdriver.

I am trying to reinstall my legacy DX Doubler SO2R box with DX4WIN ver
9.0.4. It used to work great under version 8.5. When I go to Preferences,
Control tab, I cannot change the Type or LPT1 port under Band Decoder. With
version 9.04, the type is grayed out as None under Band decoder. As I
recall, you used to have to go into the Personal tab to turn on expert mode
to change this, but that is no longer available. Is Top Ten Devices using a
LPT port still supported in Version 9? And can anyone tell me what happened
to Expert Mode? Thanks, Dave, N4QS

Re: [Dx4win] Spots filtering by using Membership list

2018-12-17 Thread LY2CX
Sorry for previous missed text.

I would like add one more argument.
The rules have been changed:
"Paper QSL cards may not be combined with LoTW applications anymore for the
DXCC award program. (Hybrid application). The hybrid application process is
still available for the WAS and VUCC programs. All QSLs, whether confirmed in
LoTW or with paper QSL card are eligible for your DXCC award however the
application processes are seperate. Effective April 2, 2012 the 3 methods of
applying for DXCC are:

  a.. Traditional Paper Card
  b.. Online DXCC
c.. LogBook of The World (LoTW)"
This is one more reason why this would help, especially when "Warning
messages" are in use.

Hi All Users of the greatest software !

I'm back to the reflector after long time with one suggestion.
It would be great ( I think) to use Membership List "Memb" data filed letters
( L, E, ect.)
for spots filtering. E.g. I would like to see only those spots who are LOTW
group members (Memb = L),
or some other group members - may be for some short time, or for some special
award with a list of calls.
I do not know how big work for Paul this could be. But this would be a great
future and would add more flexibility
in the spots filtering and would increase the usage of Membership list
functionality.
Or may be it's already there and I'm little back with my knowledge.
