In fact, the *only* RU prefix that is mapped to Ukraine in the current country file is RU5U: RU5U,UT,1982/01/01,1993/07/01 DX4WIN 9.0x does maintain a file named "usrexcpt.dat" in your SAVE directory which contains call-to-country mappings specific to you. So if you make a change, that change will essentially live on forever, unless you periodically remove this file. 73 - Jim AD1C -- Jim Reisert AD1C, , http://www.ad1c.us __ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html

Re: [Dx4win] DX4WIN.CTY country file Release #19.10 - 30 June 2019
Jim - thank you once again for your incredible efforts to produce these country file updates. We all know you are busy, so your work on the country database is sincerely appreciated! 73, John K9EL -Original Message- From: dx4win-boun...@mailman.qth.net On Behalf Of Jim Reisert AD1C Sent: Sunday, June 30, 2019 10:09 PM To: DX4WIN Reflector Subject: Re: [Dx4win] DX4WIN.CTY country file Release #19.10 - 30 June 2019 > The DX4WIN country file, DX4WIN.CTY Release #19.10 is now available from: > > http://www.country-files.com/dx4win-info/ > > You can read the release notes at: > > http://www.country-files.com/dx4win-cty-19.10-30-june-2019/ One other feature I forgot to mention that is not in the release notes. For users of DX4WIN 9.05 and later, the country file now contains an extensive database of geographic coordinates by prefix. For example, logging calls like UA4FBG and UA3RA will give more precise distance, bearing, sunrise and sunset times. This is especially useful for beaming countries that span a large geographic area, such as Russia, Canada, United States, Argentina, etc. This is an easier way to get the information, rather than having to go to the DX cluster and type "SH/SUN UA4FBG" or "SH/H UA3RA". Grid squares, especially the 6-digit ones, as well as IOTA will still override the prefix data, as they are typically even more accurate. 73 - Jim AD1C -- Jim Reisert AD1C, , http://www.ad1c.us __ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html __ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
