[Dx4win] 2 radio trouble
Using 7600 and 746pro. MK2R+ is the controller and each read freq FB alone. But after a change to one or the other radio timeouts occur. [Dx4win] 9.03 install AND Radio Support
Upgraded to 9.03 from Ver8+ All went smooth thanks to the work of Paul and Jim as well as many others. A couple of questions: 1) The fonts that show as window info IE: Packet Window Function Key Fonts SH/DX, WWV, Msg appear smaller and a lighter font color. Any way to increase the boldness of that font or resize just a bit larger? 2) This one will be a more complex issue I'm certain. My "Radio 2" is a IC-746PRO. It has been modified to be an SDR RX and I use it with SDR Console V3 (SDRC) software. SDRC tracks my IC-746PRO using OMNIRIG. Is there a way to have DX4Win V9 control SDRCs OMNIRIG so that I can click on DX Spots in DX4Win and have my 746pro QSY to that spot? When I setup the Radio 2 option in DX4Win it sees SDRC using Com 3 already and wont allow it to be set up. If there is a way to set the 746PRO as radio 2, SDRC will track and QSY when commanded. Likewise if I start DX4Win 1st, Omnirig wont allow SDRC to open the radio. Any ideas? Thank you. [Dx4win] LOTW import issue using SAT mode V9
I inquired a few days back and heard nothing so I thought Id repost to group as Im still seeking answer to this issue. When adding SAT qsos into dx4w it appears that a VALID SAT name is required for LOTW to accept the import See below the error I receive: Error: PROP_MODE = 'SAT' but no SAT_NAME on line 1012 QSO_DATE: 20180729 TIME_ON: 141200 CALL: W5RRR MODE: FM PROP_MODE: SAT BAND: 70cm BAND_RX: 2m LOTW_QSLSDATE: Error: PROP_MODE = 'SAT' but no SAT_NAME on line 1016 QSO_DATE: 20180729 TIME_ON: 141600 CALL: KB6LTY MODE: FM PROP_MODE: SAT BAND: 70cm BAND_RX: 2m LOTW_QSLSDATE: IF "OTHER" is chosen it too is rejected as a non-valid SAT name. And error occurs. Is there a work around for this as the SAT NAMES list is far from complete or current. Seeking ideas or suggestions on how to work around. Thank! Been playing with FM SATS and others. LOTW is not accepting the SAT NAME of "Other" when chosen due to lack of actual SAT names in SAT database. AO 91, AO 92, AO-85 very popular birds. Can we see updated SAT names in future update? To be fair, Paul, KK4HD contacted me yesterday asking for a list of SAT names. I take this as, he will be looking into updating this feature of his program. (?) Thanks Paul. An update to this emailed question. About a year or so ago..I had asked about why the SAT lists were outdated and would not be accepted by LOTW. I also inquired as to when and if they might be included in a future update. Fast forward to last week..upon my asking again, Paul, KK4HD, emailed asking what issues I was having and that in the latest version there were in fact updates made to the lists. I was behind an update or 2 so I took a look. I'm happy to say the SAT list has been updated to include most of the used SATS used today! This will make uploads to LOTW a lot easier as Ill no longer have to use TQSL for logging of SAT QSOS. I can use DX4WIN as my SAT logger as well as my contest/DX loggger. Fantastic Paul and to those who work tirelessly to keep it updated and functioning so well..Thanks Again. [Dx4win] 51st state
While checking on WAS band/mode progress I saw that on some bands Ive got 51 states confirmed. In the WAS Reports listing the last entry is #1 (following WY.) Its named "C". How can I delete this anomaly to only show 50 states..
