[Dx4win] Group Names and Print Label Flags

2012-12-01 Thread Larry P. Greenberg
I did this once before but fail to remember how I did it.

I want to put a note on each of my CQWW contest QSOs that I imported into
DX4WIN. Last year I put “CQWWCW” in the notes field for each of these QSOs. I
don’t remember how to do that.

Also, I want to set the Print Label Flag to “N” for each of these QSOs while
maintaining “Y” for regular QSOs that I haven’t QSLed yet.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am not understanding the manual this
time.

[Dx4win] (no subject)

2010-07-14 Thread Larry P. Greenberg
I have have versions 7.07, 8.03, and 8.04 on my machine. I want to delete
versions 7.07 and 8.03. Can I use the uninstall utility, UNINS000 to delete
prior versions without affecting the current version 8.04?

[Dx4win] Version 8.03 Keyer Latching

2010-03-09 Thread Larry P. Greenberg
I remember this has been covered on this reflector before but I don't remember
the fix.

I have just upgraded DX4WIN from version 7.07 to version 8.03. Version 7.07
worked perfectly but I am having a DX4WIN internal keyer problem with version
8.03. Whenever I either use the keyboard or internal memory to send CW, my
radio keys as if the DX4WIN keyer was in tune. I cannot stop the continuous
key down unless I exit DX4WIN or from the File menu, click on SAVE CHANGES and
EXIT. In other words, I cannot send CW at all using DX4WIN 8.03 because even
though the messages scroll on the DX4WIN keyer marquee, the program acts like
there is a constant key closure.

I am using a Lenovo desktop with a quad core processor, 4 GB of memory and a
real serial port. The radio is a Elecraft K3. Keying is accomplished through
the serial port using the DTR line. The serial connection between the computer
and radio uses a real serial cable with a 4,800 baud connection speed.

I have both the old and new versions on my computer and version 7.07 works
fine.

As best as I recall, some people on the reflector had this problem and others
didn't. I have tried several things but haven't found a solution. Any help
from the reflector would be really appreciated.

Re: [Dx4win] Dx4win Digest, Vol 71, Issue 2

2010-03-02 Thread Larry P. Greenberg
I just upgraded from version 7.07 to 8.03 and have the same problem. I am
running Windows Vista, merged the .INI file, and downloaded the new .DLL
from Microsoft. Has anybody figured out the constant keying of the serial
port. Seems to reset itself when saving a new .INI file.

Interesting... I thought the issue was first reported in 8.03. It seems
it crept in between 8.01 and 8.02.

[Dx4win] Talk Messages Announcements

2009-02-02 Thread Larry P. Greenberg
I have recently upgraded computers, started using Vista, and upgraded DX4WIN to
version 7.07.02. I have the Talk Messages and Announcements up on the screen
at all times in addition to the Packet and DX Spots windows. The Talk messages
will not update until I close the Talk window and right in the DX Spots window
and left click View Announcements. In other words, refreshing my Talk Messages
and Announcements. My old computer and older DX4WIN version updated and
refreshed automatically.

I am running DX4WIN as an Administrator. Any help would be appreciated both on
and off the list.

[Dx4win] Interface to PacketCluster Program

2006-01-22 Thread Larry P. Greenberg
I am a new user to DX4WIN. I am using the VE7CC AR Cluster/DX Spider program
for my DX spots. I am trying to get the spots to be recognized by DX4WIN but
have been unsuccessful so far. Can anybody give me some help?

Also, is there any way to get the complete frequency to be logged in DX4WIN? I
have only been able to get either the band (20) or frequency in megahertz
(14) to show in the DX4WIN frequency field.
