Thanks to all. The quick fix worked great. I need to go get the AD1C country file. Rich On 1/14/2016 23:26 PM, John, K9EL wrote: Two ways: 1. Use the excellent DX4Win updater program from AD1C and download the latest country file. 2. Type K5P in the callsign window. Select KH5 in the Prefix window (click in the box and hit F1). I do not remember but it may be tied to the license for that software when you paid and received your key. I cannot change mine either, it really does not matter. If one plots a trend line, the delay is growing exponentially. The trend indicates a file uploaded *today* is not likely to be processed *for more than five weeks* based on the current rate of growth in the backlog. Based on the processing time for files uploaded at 0500z on 12/2, there were about 2.25 million unprocessed QSOs in the queue at that time - and that was 48 hours *after* the deadline for submitting CQWW CW logs. With the trend in growth between 11/25 and 12/2, the queue could hold as many *10 million* unprocessed QSOs (although that is unlikely)! I know the folks in Newington are saying trust us, but their performance - and complete failure to provide *current data* - particularly the failure to provide accurate current status on the size of the processing queue - makes trust very difficult. 73, ... [Dx4win] Need help with MMTTY
I am looking for someone in the group that is successfully using MMTTY, K3 and MK II . I am not able to get any output on TX. I RX well so that is handled. I have been trying in the AFSK A mode and NIL. I can see the MK II go into the TX mode and so does the K3 but I do seem to have any drive. Any experts out there? Mike Put in a new entry with the data and see if it takes. Then delete the old one if it does. Re: [Dx4win] I quit
Hi Vic, Like you I have been a user from close to day #1. Like you I am a loyal user. Like you I have recommended the program to many as well. You are free to think the new update is vaporware. Unlike you I don't think Paul would make a statement that is a lie. In my opinion the current version is pretty darn good as it stands. Yes I know Paul has not been able to keep up with all the new modes and wants that some users ask for. It can do 99% of what I need. I am not a programmer but I have a feeling that there is lots more involved than just adding to the existing program. My guess is that up to now Paul has been doing band aids to an old programming software and the new DX4WIN update had to be started from scratch with a new compiler or whatever is the newer windows software needs to be written in. So unlike you I will wait for the new version I have looked at other logging software over the years and I stayed with DX4WIN. So you are free to look around and maybe download the free ones out there and go thru the learning curves and find out they are not perfect either. I am sure the wait for the new Version will be well worth my wait. I give Paul kudos to be thoroughly confident he is coming to us with a stable product that will make those choose to wait happy because it is. So that is my 2 cents worth..
