[Dx4win] IC-9700

2020-03-14 Thread n2wk
I just received a new IC-9700 and I need it to work with DX4WIN. It's not on
the list of rigs. so does anyone have their 9700 working with DX4WIN?
What is the HEX address and baud rate you are using? Also any RTS or DTR
settings?

[Dx4win] Packet Window

2015-03-24 Thread n2wk
I recently reinstalled XP on one of my computers and installed DX4WIN on it.
All appears to be working except I cannot bring up the Packet Window.
I have compared all screens to my other working DX4WIN on another computer. I
have all pull down windows working. Even the DX spots window is up.

But no Packet window which is the window that has the list of clusters so one
can hook up to on the internet. The list of clusters is in the Save directory
under DX4WIN.TCP. Any ideas out there? I may have forgot how to bring this
winnow up. I’m using {Regular, TCP/IP for internet, 9600 baud, FL=None
and 8 bits/no parity exactly like my other setup. Other then the packet window
the software is working well.

Re: [Dx4win] Packet Window

2015-03-24 Thread n2wk
Hi Jim, yes it was off screen and thank you. The box was checked all along
so I changed the screen shot scale factor from 80 to 70% and got the packet
window back.

So your clue that it could be off screen was the right direction.

could the window be off-screen?

File | Preferences | Screen

Check the box leave all windows in original position. Then save and
re-start DX4WIN

See if that fixes it.

Wayne,

Mine works fine. Are you using the X4 version of the radio control
software?

[Dx4win] Error

2013-01-17 Thread n2wk
BlankAnyone familiar with this?

ERROR:

An exception has occurred

Fixed Column Count must be less than column count

This BOX comes up when I try to use the DXCC, State, WAZ or WPX boxes.
These are the boxes that tell you [C W L ] and my cluster box will
not list any spots. Everything else looks fine.

Any suggestions?

[Dx4win] Update on Help with DX Alerts

2012-10-29 Thread n2wk
My question in an earlier email was:
I would like to have CW alerts via my Computer speaker? This worked at one time
but I can't seem to get it to work now. Is the alert system via the sound board
or the speaker built in the computer?

Here is the answer:

Did you install the printer port driver?

This driver allows access to the hardware generating the cw sounds.

--Paul, KK4HD

I did this and it works like a charm.

[Dx4win] Help On DX Alerts?

2012-10-22 Thread n2wk
I would like to have CW alerts via my Computer speaker? This worked at one time
but I can't seem to get it to work now. Is the alert system via the sound board
or the speaker built in the computer?

When a spot came in it would alert me via computer speaker in CW if it was
(colored)needed.

Right now my settings are:

Beep and show in window

band/mode not confirmed

cw announce

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Wayne N2WK

DX Alerts

Specify which level of DX alert you want to be notified for. By selecting a
certain alert level, you will get an alert for that level and all levels
preceding that level (they are the same or higher priority). So when you select
'New award Band', you will be notified for 'New Country', 'New award Mode' and
'New award Band'. The QSOs checked will be limited to the current Selection.

[Dx4win] DX4WIN and DXP38?

2011-02-28 Thread n2wk
Is anyone using or has used the Hal DXP38 with DX4WIN? I know MMTTY works
but can the DXP38 work also? I see in the help file an external TU is
mentioned and you need setup parameters for it but I have tried every
combination and can't get it to work.
