[Dx4win] Russian portables
Here's an exercise you can do to help with the country file: First, make sure that in your QSO Preferences, set callsign searching to substring Now using F8, search for UA in the Prefix field, and '/' (without the quotes) in the Callsign field. Review the QSOs to see if the country makes sense. I.e. UA3ABC/9 which DX4WIN says is UA really should be UA9 Now do a similar search, except put UA9 in the prefix field. Review again, for example RW0IW/3 which DX4WIn says is UA9 really should be UA. Please send me the call and the date of any such QSOs you find, and I can add them to the country file. If you know the Oblast or CQ zone, that is helpful as well (mostly applies to calls that should be in UA9). Re: [Dx4win] Russian portables
Hi Jim; Just tried this; with your first filter potential errors could be(all showing as EU Russia): UN9/UA1AET June 1992 UA3DPX/0 July 1994 (I already have a zone 18 rule in ClubLog for this) UA4RC/9/P June 1999 UA4LU/9/P June 1999 With the UA9 filter: EK0DAP/4K4 (May 1990) (not really sure what I would expect) 4K4/EK0AK (Oct 1990) RN9/UZ3YWA (June 1992) UA0FM/3 June 2003 As another aside; there are quite a few /MM stations that those filters picked up; is there an easy way to make those all invalid?? 73 Dave G3NKC -Original Message- From: dx4win-boun...@mailman.qth.net [mailto:dx4win-boun...@mailman.qth.net] On Behalf Of Jim Reisert AD1C Sent: 25 August 2010 18:15 To: DX4WIN Reflector Subject: [Dx4win] Russian portables Here's an exercise you can do to help with the country file: First, make sure that in your QSO Preferences, set callsign searching to substring Now using F8, search for UA in the Prefix field, and '/' (without the quotes) in the Callsign field. DX4WIN 8.0x automatically treats all /MM as invalid (Prefix field is empty). In older versions, you'd need to set the Invalid flag to Y for each QSO. I don't know if there's a multiple QSO operation to do that. 73 - Jim AD1C -- Jim Reisert AD1C, jjreis...@alum.mit.edu, http://www.ad1c.us __ Dx4win mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Dx4win@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
