You are getting farther along than I am - I get the two error messages then
zip. Nothing. Enter everything manually; no communication between radio and
computer. Hopefully someone else will have some suggestions

Dave I am having the exact same problem since belatedly upgrading to
Windows 10 on my radio computer, except that after I click through those
same two error messages you are getting, DX4WIN comes up, albeit with some
errors regarding current band and mode, etc. on my FTDX-5000.
Jim, AD1C, told me he had not heard of the issue before, but if you and I
have had the same problem, I suspect others have had it too. I'd be
interested to hear about any replies you get with suggested fixes.

Have not been able to connect dx4win with my Omni-7 since I upgraded to
Windows 10 (worked fine before) I get the “re_Badld – specified comport
doesn’t exist” message (then, after clicking “ok”, I get radio error #1)
Have tried navigating around Win 10 to figure out what comports are assigned
where but zero luck.
Would appreciate it if someone more knowledgeable than me (not hard to find
a whole lot of folks meeting that criteria!) would contact me directly.
