[easybuild] EasyBuild at SC17
Hello EasyBuilders! As you may know, the SC17 conference in Denver, CO is ready to start next week. EasyBuild will also be present with some presentations that I gladly offered to host at our Vanderbilt University stand (#463). Please come by to share your EasyThoughts, grab a sticker or just to say hello. I would also like to organize an EasyBuild Meet and Greet event at Freshcraft (https://goo.gl/maps/KDPeVs7tHby) one of those nights to have a beer in honor of our dear DBFL Kenneth that unfortunately will not be among us. Please let me know your availability here: https://doodle.com/poll/qxs4c2rv6akb7644 I will follow up once a date and time will be picked. Please do not hesitate to contact me directly through the EasyBuild Slack team. My username is vanzod. See you soon! -- Davide Vanzo, PhD Application Developer Adjunct Assistant Professor of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering Advanced Computing Center for Research and Education (ACCRE) Vanderbilt University - Hill Center 201 (615)-875-9137 www.accre.vanderbilt.edu
[easybuild] OpenFOAM mess
Hi all, We recently got a request for installing OpenFOAM from openfoam.com (which is different than OpenFOAM from openfoam.org). Trying to figure it out, I noticed that all existing recipes in EasyBuild download source from sourceforge or github repositories of openfoam.org, while many recipes point the homepage to openfoam.com. Should we fix this ? Does anyone have an actual recipe for OpenFOAM versions from OpenFOAM.*COM* (which are versions below 1706). Also, does anyone have a suggestion on what to do with the name clash ? Finally, if anyone has contacts in the OpenFOAM.com/.org developpers, please tell them they're nuts to have done things this way... -- - Maxime Boissonneault Analyste de calcul - Calcul Québec, Université Laval Président - Comité de coordination du soutien à la recherche de Calcul Québec Team lead - Research Support National Team, Compute Canada Instructeur Software Carpentry Ph.
