Biological Technician (Plants)Positions GS-0404-4
Tiller Ranger District, Umpqua National Forest
ABOUT THE POSITION?
Tiller Ranger District is biologically diverse, located at the juncture of
the Southern Oregon Cascades and the Klamath/Siskiyou Mountains. The

I would echo what Warren says. I came from the Central Oregon Ecology
Program (FS/BLM) and now deal with cattle in Southwest Oregon, where much
grazing is in forest, some pretty closed.
Some more cynical (and tongue in cheek) observers might think rangeland

I am not sure that Dr. Patton's statement was near perfection. I would
agree that we are being stupid if we don't acknowledge our role in at
least the loss of some species, but long before we changed the planet for

Hello, all
This may not feel good to many of you, but I feel the need for a reality

Many of the responses have the feeling of arrows being flown from ivory
There is a great deal of value in all the FS lands being offered for sale.
I believe I am preaching to the choir in stating there is intrinsic worth
in most 'wild' lands (even if intensively managed 'til now). I do
understand the need to liquidate assets to pay for costs; our programs have
