Post-doc in aquatic ecology

Post-doctoral position available for study of community ecology of fishes 
in the Florida Everglades.   We are researching metacommunity and spatial 
ecology of fish in wetlands and this position will study interactions of 
fish communities in aquatic refuge and marsh habitats by sampling studies 
and analysis of movement among habitats.  Experience in field studies of 
fish communities is desirable and demonstration of quantitative skills is 
expected.  Starting salary will be $38,000 per year plus benefits.

Technician positions in aquatic ecology

Three positions are available to participate in studies of community 
ecology of fishes and macroinvertebrates in the Florida Everglades.   We 
are researching spatial ecology in this dynamic ecosystem, and these 
positions will study macroinvertebrate and fish communities in short-
hydroperiod habitats on the boundaries of Everglades National Park.  We 
are looking for: 
1.  A person with knowledge of aquatic macroinvertebrate 
identification; 
2.  A person with experience in field studies of fishes; 
3.  A person with experience in data management and manipulation of 
large data files in SAS, ideally also with experience in statistical 
analyses using General Linear Models (GLM).  

Starting salary will be set based on experience and candidates with M.S. 
or Ph.D. degrees are especially welcome.  Funding is currently available 
for two years and longer term appointment is possible.  These positions
