You might check out how the VisualUEFI project builds EDK2.
According to it's readme, it works with VS2015.

Thanks for the reply.
I had tried this, but was getting errors that I didn't get on VS2008, mainly,
error LNK2001 unresolved external symbol __fltused
I didnt get this err
