Well I don't know what STATISTICA looks like now, but in the late 1980's and early
1990's they were a flagrant "ripoff" of SYSTAT. Leland Wilkinsons (president of
SYSTAT) made a pretty well documented case that StatSoft not only used much of the
SYSTAT code, but also implemented some pieces of it
