What do you mean with silence suppression? I couldnt find it. If it is
Echo-Unterdrückung aktivieren, then I have there a hook already but it
doesnt help.

I have 3 computers with different architectures running SuSE 10.3.
Ekiga v2.0.9 works fine on them.
I have 2 computers with different architectures running SuSE 11.1. The
sound does not work with them. Two computers, one from each group, have
identical architectures. They are both dual Opterons

My Wiki commit propose a solution (proprietary ) in order to be able to use
Ekiga with a proxy http. then you don't need to modify anything to the
network ( if the http proxy is classic and not too restrictive on the type
of request I think)

Yes, I use H.323. I have used it through many versions of gnomemeeting
and into ekiga. I know very little about SIP mainly because, when I
start to read about it, it seems unsuitable for my needs. I'd rather
not learn, but instead use a standard that has always worked.
