Yes, I have experienced the temp reset. I don't believe it is that unusual.

This is strange the 4 band filter board I just recently built had a no
oscillation on the 18.100 crystal. I installed another crystal and problem
was solved. I wonder if anyone else has had this problem recently.

I use a method that makes installing IC's a lot easier...You will need a small
6 inch steel ruler...Some folks call it a straight edge, and engineers call it
a scale...They are usually 1/2 inch wide...Install the IC's as they come from
the manufacturer, do not try to rebend the pins...Insert

Could be good deal, these are not so hard to repair and spares are cheap.

As a member of the choir: I think hams will always preserve competency
in CW, regardless of what the ITU and FCC does, as long as a CW Q counts
more than a fone Q in most contests.
That said, this is yet another example of infrastructure-free

The K2/100 already includes a high voltage output keying line for linear
amplifiers on its KPA100 back panel. It can handle up to 200V and 1A
max. Most amps with -positive- keying voltages can be T/R keyed from the
K2/100.
I think the SB-220 uses a positive voltage so it should work.

I use a pair of long-nose pliers, long enough to encompass
all the pins on one row of the chip. You want the pliers close to
and parallel with the body of the chip. Then gently bend toward
the center of the chip until the pins are straight. Repeat for the
second row. Works like a charm.

Again my basic K2 works well with my ICOM ICPW-1. With a drive of about 10-
15 watts from K2, I can get a 250-300 watts out from my PW-1. I am using
the amp keying kit from elecraft.

My SB-220 uses +123VDC through a 5Kohm relay coil keyed to ground. There is
no diode protection from back-emf across the relay coil, but there is a

Frankly, I hope that a lot
