We have had several people report that 2SC1969s obtained in EU did not work
well. I don't know why. We use only Mitsubishi brand 2SC1969 transistors,
obtained from RF Parts.

I am awaiting delivery of the above in preparation for building the

Incidentally, filter alignment using Spectrograph was most
rewarding, especially
KIO2. The K60XV is not needed for the Elecraft transverters. Take a
look at one of the transverter manuals for more information on
connecting things.

Now that I have the KIO2 installed I'm anxious to test it out. I see quite a
long list of programs that provide support for the K2. Just wondering what is
your favorite such program and why? I don't (at least initially plan to) do
remote control over the network, but that would be slick
I just sent out a note to the list and commented that I planned to use
RigBlaster with the K2. I have Heil microphones so have already changed R14 to
increase the gain and that seems to work well.
Two issues. First, I noticed RF on 160m to 40m when using the microphones into
the Rigblaster.

YES! See my review on eham. In the year since I wrote it, it's only
gotten better, and logging has been added. N4PY's software

Most ham gear, including the K2, has what is known in the pro
audio world as a pin 1 problem at its mic and control inputs. I

True, but the K60XV is a *very* nice interface that makes using the K2 with
the transverters much easier

Hello,
I was cleaning up and ran across a KAT100 version 1.04 firmware chip
that had been sent to me by mistake a while ago. It is new and unused.

DxLabs is good and Free!
DxKeeper is the logging module, comprehensive, good QSL management.
Commander is the remote control part of the suite. It is basic but works
well and you can set up the macros do do quite a bit. See the K2

I would check out TRX-Manager. I use it currently with my TS-480 via
remote control. The K2 will be another rig I plan on using (hoping to
make it my winter project later this year). It has a nice window that
gives you, what looks like, full control of the K2.

I have used the Rigblaster Plus with several other rigs for some time. I
found I needed to use ferrite cores
on several of the cables to quiet down rf problems. Since those were
already in place, I did not have any problems when I connected the K2.
For PSK, I use Digipan and for ssb, the mic
