As far as I know that unit uses reed relays, and should have no detectable
loss. I think there might be two models of that,
I don't trust the quality of an external soundcard of this price.
It might be sufficient for PSK31 but probably not for Winmor. The
Signalink USB is good, but not for 20 bucks.

I am using essentially the same setup. I got a lot of help from Chen (W7AY)
the author of CocoaModem.
I also had a problem of no output and it turned out to be that I was using the
default jumper settings on the Signalink and you need to boost the output by
setting jumper 3 (JP3).
Any update on when the P3 manual will be on the elecraft website? I
remember someone said it was going to be online before the release date. I
hope the release date has not changed. I hope to see mine soon.

I suspect that one or both of the wattmeter diodes in the KAT100 are
fried. It would be a good idea to check those in the KPA100 as well.
KAT100 D1 and D2 and KPA100 D16 and D17.
