Fred,
It is a beta version so you will need to download from the P3 beta ftp site
ftp://ftp.elecraft.com/P3/firmware/beta/
Then browse in the P3 utility to where you downloaded the zip file
(p3m0105.zip). I have a directory to keep the firmware so I can locate them
easily.

Thanks for help Don. I just bought mic new from Elecraft.
You hit on something that might be a problem. I remember
some resistor changes to the KSB2 or audio in circuits.
I will look at the mods section, I changed something way back,
But don't remember if it was Elecraft mod or not.
Thanks all. Forgot about that. Too early here!

Roy,
It may be easier to compare the parts values with those listed in the
KSB2 parts list. The schematic is also helpful when doing parts value
checks. To me, that certainly is easier than going through a bunch of
possible mods - they are numerous.

The circuit breaker handles only the PA supply, the rest of the K3 is
protected with a resettable fuse inside the K3. So yes, just the CB or

Good advice from Gary.
The US Postal service strongly advises putting your name, full address, and
phone number inside the box in case of a problem that rendered the address
label unreadable. If it's a double boxed item, I include one inside both the
outer and inner boxes.

Hi,
Newbie question: I just finished my K2 and am slowly getting the options done

Dick,
The KNB2 works well on impulse noise such as automotive ignition noise
or the impulse noise from lightning storms. However, it will not do
much good on the more constant noises like atmospheric noise or
power-line noise because that is more constant and slow in rise time.

Richard,
For getting mild scratches out of most plastics, try wetting a smooth
cloth with a thin oil, then rub, and rub, and rub. The small amount of
heat developed by the rubbing will clear small scratches in the
plastic. For deeper gouges, I am afraid replacement is the only cure I
