I am using a borrowed LDG600 with somewhat satisfactory results, but will
also be buying a KAT500 if and when they are made available for purchase by
Elecraft.
The LDG tunes all of my antennas well except for 160 meters, where it has
trouble finding a match at times. I'm using a 3 el cubical
This is way OT, but false decodes like T2DE are quite common when a

Just an FYI, the W3LPL spots are not his skimmer. He has special code that
re-spots skimmers that are sent to the Reverse Beacon Network. He has a
skimmer system but the ones you see on the clusters is not that network. The
skimmer operators only dump their decodes to the RBN. Well the ones that

I'm planning to remote a KPA100 and KAT100 from my existing K2/10, which
has no KIO2 module.
I believe a KIO2 comes with the KPA100.
Do I need yet another KIO2 to make this work? Does one come with the
KPA100 as well?
Sorry for the FAQs...

Andrew,
The KPA100 contains the same function as the KIO2 on its circuit board.
The RS-232 part will not function when the KPA100 is mounted remotely.
However, you have to provide a path for the internal K2 signals to
communicate with the external equipment - IMPORTANT - those are NOT

Seeing we are on the subject of headsets with boom mics, are there any K3
users that have the Radiosport RS60 headset? If so what are your comments.

Trying to run my K3 on PSK31 in data A mode w a tigertronics USB interface and

The box connects to K3 via line in/out jacks and the rear panel PTT jack. All
jumpers in interface are set correctly. When the software goes to TX, the

I'm looking for someone who can build two Softrock RX Ensemble II
receiver kits for me. I made an attempt at one of them but the surface
mount components are just too small for my arthritic fingers to handle.
Thus, one kit is approximately 25% complete and the other kit has not
been started.
Try VOX and skip everthing except the computer, two cables for audio either
way, Digipan and the K3.
