Trying to run my K3 on PSK31 in data A mode w a tigertronics USB interface and digipan software.
The box connects to K3 via line in/out jacks and the rear panel PTT jack. All jumpers in interface are set correctly. When the software goes to TX, the interface box goes to TX, and the phono plug from the box that plugs into the K3 PTT jack goes to ground. The K3 however doesn't go into TX mode, unless you also key the hand mike. Using the hand mike switch as a manual PTT switch I made several PSK31 QSOs tonight so the sound card chip in the tigertronics box is apparently working. Just for kicks I tried using the rs232 rig control and digipan to try to trigger TX that way as described in elecrafts K3 operating hints, and the rig would not go into TX mode that way, either.
