I have the sub receiver and it is indistinguishable from the main receiver
when I have both set to the same bandwidth. I suspect that you may have the
attenuator on and/or the pre-amp off in the sub receiver if the difference
is so great.

Elecraft K3 Design, Configuration and Operation. It covers all of this
and also I feel better explains the operation and setup of the K3. I am not
being critical of the Elecraft manuals but this 280 page book

requires lots of fans with their noise. How many solid state amplifiers

Don't even think about using that yellow core at T3 - that core must
have a high permeability (as do all the other transformers except T5).
T5 is really a tapped inductor rather than a true transformer.

from transmit, the SUB speaker emitted a loud short shriek. Never had such

rear 1/8 Connector. BIAS settings for both are OFF, LOW, and HIGH.
