using it both at home and outdoors. Of course, if I were using the KX3 as a
long-term, fixed station radio, then I would plug in a high quality,

200 Hz filters until you can get both at the same time and specify
filter matching. Given the variability of crystals, the filter
offsets tend to vary from batch and it is sometimes difficult to

While setting up a transverter for PTT over the coax line with a
bias-T ckt, I encountered a surprise when I connected the transverter
to the Rx connection of the KXV3. The line went low every time I
connected it to the K3. I measured 75-ohms resistance across the Rx
