FWIW, we use a Nest Protect here (hardwired into A/C, too) and haven't had problems with RFI. I imagine it'd be a different story if it didn't use Wi-Fi, though. Speaking of Wi-Fi, our Ubiquiti access point required at least four Ethernet chokes, a third party PoE injector and CAT7 shielded cable

I have an older wired alarm system that uses serial data, and it is indeed awful. The serial data is quite slow but it has no filtering. I added an LC filter that works well enough to keep the RFI out of my station, at least down to the level of what comes from my neighbors and keeps my station

Howard: The KPA1500 PF1 and PF2 buttons are programmed from the KPA1500 Utility. Choose the Configuration tab, and the PF Keys tab. Enter the macros for PF1 and PF2, then "APPLY" or "OK". The macros might be something this for PF1: ^DTRADIO TYPE K3;^XI0; And this for PF2:^DTFLEX

I'm using macros inside N1MM logger function keys (wicked cool), to play M1 memory from the KDVR3, but no matter how I record my call on the KDVR3, when played on an N1MM function call, I get something that sounds almost like a squelch tail. Any ideas on how to fix it? Thanks! 73 Eric WD6DBM
