I stopped keeping batteries (NiMH) in the internal tray when the rig got
stuck in an error state while trying to update the firmware. The fix for
the issue was to remove all power to the radio for a short time, maybe half
a minute, then restore power and update the firmware again. Trouble is, if
The KPA500 is a QSK amplifier. It switches from RX to TX very rapidly (about 2
mSec) in order to allow QSK operation of the station.
The TRTime parameter sets the time the KPA takes to transition from TX to RX -
this is specifically for transmitters that may continue to output RF for a

I've been on the internet and can find IC-7300 TX Delay, CW Rise Time
settings for other amplifiers pretty easily. There don't appear to be
any for -specifically- the IC-7300 and KPA-500. Are there "officially
sanctioned" settings for that combination? I feel it may be overkill to
use 30ms
I have Eneloop Pro batteries in mine. I replaced them (originally called
Eneloop XX) after seven years. A bit after that, one had a small leak. So mine
are now on a five year replacement schedule.

Hello,
Next month, I have to give a talk about the KX3 to my club...South Mountain
Radio Amateurs club.
To prepare for that, I recently asked here for some information about the KX3's
workings of the I/Q signal paths and am grateful for the replies received.
During my presentation, I'd also
Hello,
I have two K2/100, and one of them developed an issue last night. It
suddenly lost audio. The S-meter is working, and it transmits fine but no
receive audio. When I leave it long enough, the audio comes back
occasionally, then goes off. I get the same results from the headphones,
