I do this with the MFJ 1026 in between the RX IN/OUT. I can use the 1026 preamp by itself with the RX ANT gain turned to zero or I can put the RX antenna in line for dual VFO/Band RX or use as a diversity RX setup. There is another thread about the effectiveness of diversity RX - I was playing aro
