Good Evening,
Good conditions were not to be found. Both twenty and forty meters
had moderate to high noise levels with all manner of QSB. The strongest
signal on twenty was from RI. Forty meters is changing noticeably from
week to week. The strongest signal there was from ID, my next
I will try to make it next week.
I have a QRP net (CW) every Sunday night at 9pm local and will
try to jump over there and say hello if I can make it.

Yes, FANticipator works great, but my point is if Elecraft would allow us to
use the 6m fan profile on HF, we wouldn't have to turn on our intrusive
computers at all to communicate in the sublime world of QRO CW.

I have tried to find a way to interface a K3S with an LDG-200.
It needs a digital to analog conversion interface since the LDG uses discrete
voltage levels as inputs for the proper band. I don't know if the Z100A uses
the same analog signaling.
In the mean time, I wrote a macro to drop my K3S
I have used FANticipator for quite a while and I don't find fan noise and
issue. Actually, my supply is too quiet, I oftentimes will forget to turn the
amp off. Ha! Don't ask me my settings I sat and forget several years ago.

Is the KPA500 being keyed on 6 m? (Does the asterisk appear in the KPA500

Some rigs, such as the Kenwood TS-590, require the keying output to be
specified separately for 6 m than for the HF bands.

Hi Dave,
More information would be helpful. Are you seeing your radio's output thru
the KPA500 (and on the meters) with the amp in bypass mode? Is the radio's
PTT properly keying the amp? Etc.

I purchased a Z100A with the idea of interfacing it to a specific brand/model
of radio. I investigated the Z100A requirements to initiate the control of the
tuner via the transceiver. From my earlier work, I don't see there is a
command from the K3 that will support the requirements of the
Bought and assembled a KPA500 kit in 2018. No output on 6m!! I've used it on

output on six using the KPA...

My apologies to Larry for my error. He is of course correct about
FANticipator's connections, he wrote the software and does a great job
supporting it. For free.
FANticipator keeps more than 100 KPA1500s cooler and quieter, if the numbers on
Larry's dist list are mostly FANticipator users
For everyone that has asked, I have a small number of displays in stock again.
