Due to circumstances I must sell my K3 serial 2229. It's pretty much a
loaded K3 and has been my pride and joy.
Includes the following:
K3/10 basic K3
KPA3-F factory installed 100w PA
KAT3-F factory installed internal antenna tuner
KRX3-F factory installed sub receiver
KXV3A I/O interface upgrade
You can say that again Wes.
I ordered some equipment from a company in North Carolina and it was picked
up on July 10th. By July 12th it had made it to San Antonio, Texas. It sat
there for 4 days and then arrived in Eagles Pass, Texas on July 16th. It's
still in Eagles pass according to the tracki
Hi Don,
Yes I'm aware of that but thanks for reminding me. Having an RMA first is
definitely the proper procedure.

Hey Dave,
I'll try that and report back but I'm getting the feeling it's going to back
to the factory.

Hi Dave,
Thanks for the info. It looks like mine will be heading back to the factory
also.
Have a great day.

When I hit the ATU TUNE button this evening the tuner sounded like it was
doing something but instead of the usual display of VSWR as it tuned there
were only two dash lines.
The problem is not band dependent.
Anyone ever seen this before and if so what was the cure?
Thanks.

That's a bit harsh for a 1st offence isn't it Tim?

Well, that will cost you 50 Elecraft points.
John,
The VSWR will still be the same as you read on Palstar. What you are seeing
on the K3 is the VSWR being presented to the K3 PA stage. It's not the
actual VSWR on the system as a whole. That VSWR is what the Palstar is
seeing.

FWIW the JT65-HF software is by Joe Large W6CQZ not Joe Taylor K1JT. And I
agree both are very smart guys who really enjoy ham radio.

I agree a dual band transverter would be nice Tom but I'm wondering why 2
meters and 4 meters would be an excellent addition?

Actually a radian is an angular measurement whereas a Hertz (hertz) is a
frequency measurement.
1 radian = 57.2958 degrees
1 hertz = 1 cycle per second
