The SUB receive on the KX3 is great for working pile-ups. The issue I have is
when the DX station is weak, turning up the audio volume to hear the DX makes
the pile-up so loud I can't hear the DX. Anyone know of a simple solution to
making the pile-up audio lower and DX louder other than an

Probably for the same reason I don't here it. At my location the

The one feature of RUMped that I find cool for portable contesting is the
ability to key the KX3 without a Winkeyer using RUMped. Reduces the gear you
need to carry.
Overall, though, I think Skookumlogger is a better native Mac contest logger.

Tap DISP and turn the OFS knob. First you see the clock, then you see the PS
(power supply) voltage, then you see the BT (battery voltage), followed by the
current draw.

Do you have it on QSK or semi-break-in? You have to have VOX set to transmit
CW but by setting a delay the rig won't go to receive between dits and dahs.

I've had pretty good luck using 2 40 foot wires. Either fed with a 1:1 balun
and coax or with a BNC to banana jacks. Sometimes I put both wire ends up high
like a V and sometimes I put one wire end up high the other on the ground or
just above the ground. Tuner seems to be able to tune all
If you don't need stereo output, the Signalink has a speaker jack on the rear
so you can hear the audio.

What is the significance of using RG11 75 ohm coax vs 50 ohm? Sorry if this is

Yes, everyone has these symptoms. You can help the situation some by turning
on the VFO NR in the menu. You have to unlock the menu by holding the rate
button for 3 seconds until it says Unlocked. This has to be done by band.

I've noticed that when I press and hold the RCL button the last memory selected
is displayed. However, you can't put that memory into the VFO unless you tune
away and then back again. I was trying to use the memory recall to return to
14.060 after tuning away. I hope I explained this
