What I did was sort of homebrew. Several years ago at Dayton, a guy
was selling battery-powered PC speakers for $2 a pair (last year, they
were $4/pair). I bought a set. Discovered that they ran off 6 D cells,
three in one speaker, three in the other. I figured out how to rewire
it so
I just sent out thousands of e-mails to the ARRL members in the Great
Lakes Division (I'm running for Vice Director). The forwarding
service is definitely working. :)

Well, my daddy always told me, Son, if it walks like a duck and
quacks like a duck, it's probably a duck. That being the case, if
it's not a contest, then why award points. FD is a slightly different
kind of duck than most contests, but if points are involved, then it's
a contest.

One time I heard a guy on 20m using LSB. I switched my rig over to
LSB, and we had a nice QSO. During the QSO, it turned out that he had
attended Ohio State University. Well, seeing as how I live in Ann
Arbor, MI (home of the University of MIchigan), I had a good chuckle
at his expense
