I am running into some trouble with the K3 after playing around

The utility transmit calibration menu has the 50 watt test not highlighted (not
available).
I will look at responses to this before pulling the KPA3 out.

could now set KPA3 to normal.
I completed the transmitter gain calibrations (5 50 watt). All is well.

P.S. I did read the “K3 Crystal
the list small and tailored to my current use. I had a budget
to hold as well.
I am an ICOM bigot but based on reviews, reflectors and unsolicited on the air
net comments, if one can afford a K3 that is what one would buy. I have to try
it.
I am now a Elecraft K3 owner.
