OK, folks, I’ll admit to this being a “dummy load” error. However, I have
searched the archives and can’t find a satisfactory answer.

Sorry for the OT post … but I am thinking of using one of my Elecraft rigs in
the truck … mobile applications.
Does anyone know the amp rating of the two 12v power outlets in the Silverado
1500 for 2017?
And, if you do know, is it switched (with the ignition) or always on?
Thanks in

Nice Christmas present, indeed. I’m looking on eBay for a US-122 or US-144.
Actually BH Audio still has some “new” but discontinued ones for $99.00.

Thank you for the information. It makes sense that Elecraft would standardize

I’m building a K1 for a fellow ham whose hands won’t allow the fine soldering
work that this kit demands. This is the second K1 that I have built.
All of the test points before alignment and test, part 1 have been nominal. I
have successfully completed the tests on the LED and LCD/Error Codes
power
supply rail. I have never built a K1, so I am just basing this on standard
troubleshooting technique.

Folks, I have a problem. I volunteered to build a K1 for a gentleman who’s
hands are just too trembly to do it himself. I’ve been tracking the order from
CA to my home QTH. It was supposed to arrive last night.

So far, so good. Some of the testing and alignment steps are confusing since
the construction assumes one wants to build the KPA100 in the K2 body. And,

I'm consolidating radios. I have a K1, serial number 1945. I built the radio,
aligned it, and set all the filters using Spectrogram. Works like a champ.
