Gary, have you tried backing off the RF gain? For me, I try to use the
minimum gain I need at the time, and that seems to help (might only be
my perception). Of course, it does nothing if the other guy is too
wide, clicking and splattering, etc.

Almost done with the KRX3 :)
On my main board I have all slots filled with FL1=13K FM FL2=6K
AM/ESSB FL3=2.8, FL4=1 FL5=.250
For the Sub I don't need the AM or FM filters and I have matching

The sub instructions say to put the widest bandwidth filters nearest
FL1.
Thanks for the on off list replies, I will leave 1 2 open.
It seemed as if that was the right thing to do for consistency of the
filters as I will be using diversity extensively. After a long day,
it's nice to relax without mental juggling.

While we're opening the notch topic, how about a truely narrow notch for

The present one is far too wide for most CW situations.

I tried setting to the 6 for SSB but the configuration option in the
utility won't let me do so and it requires I use the 2.8 for both SSB

Guess that answers for the CW anyway but I'll have to re-read what to
do regarding ESSB.

There is another caveat with the TLM-103 others have alluded to
that is the off axis response. If you're not using an amplifier,
you'd be OK but the cardioid pattern of the 103 accompanied by the
