Hi, Am readying myself to invest in a K3.
I am a CW op, rarely on any other mode, (haven't used any other mode in over four years). I chase DX and enjoy the occasional contest but am not a dedicated contester. On the other hand, I tend to go 100% into any of my endeavours and when I contest, I contest to the best of my abilities. I currently have an Omni V with a set of Inrad CW filters and find them a tad too ringy for my liking though I find the 2.4kHz with the 250Hz narrow filter in line pretty effective. I find the 250Hz filter with the 250Hz narrow filter also selected almost too noisy for my pleasure. Sans ringing, I would love a 50Hz filter but reality says I need something wider. That probably says enough about my CW desires as regards the K3. With that, what filter should I go with to maximise my CW experience?
