Okay, the abstinence for soldering got unbarable, so I ordered an additional band module for 80 and 40 meters for my little K1. While at it, I also ordered some extra headphone jacks to have handy just in case.. Delivery was prompt and just as I wanted. No complaints what so ever! Elecraft

Don, it was a short betwen either RFC1 or RFC2 and one of the crystal cases that caused the problem. Really embarassing because it was basically the first and only real problem I have come upon building my K2 #5810 and all the extras... :-) It's so easy to happen that I really think it

According to John/KI6WX http://www.ac6rm.net/mailarchive/html/elecraft-list/2000-05/msg00781.html you can get better output on 10 meters by substituting the regular core of T2 by an Amidon BN-43-302 binocular core. It does not seems to be possible to get such a core in Sweden. Does anyone know

So now I am about to put the KI02 RS-232 I/O Option into my K2. Now I want to work CW from the computer using serial port control line keying. That should be simple, but what circuit/components are you guys using to do that? Any links were I can read about it? Please tell me so I don't mess

K2 s/n 05810 is up and running! Got the kit last Friday and it's now Tuesday! :-) No missing or wrong part. Instructions very easy to follow! All three smoke tests went without any kind of problems at all. Output pwr not 15, but 12 watts on 20 meter, but that should be OK, I think...
