Hello, I found out today that my KX3 does not deliver any output power
at 160 m. Normally I don't use 160 m. The other bands are OK. Mmmm???

Remember that the power may vary by as much as 1 dB from band to band,
and at the 100 watt level is about 20 watts, so you may not have any
problem other than diode tolerance vs. frequency.

Hi,
after I finally installed the KAF2 module in my K2/100 05775, it was
time to do a complete alignment and I ran into this old problem again.
The output power at 160 m is 100 W. And drops from band to band to 80 W.
Now I have adjusted the KPA100 to 10m. Now I have there 100 W but then

Hi,
will not switch to operate any more. The assignments of the most keys is
wrong. For example the 28 Band Key will change the Display to 7.0 MHz.
Any hints?

Hello,
I'm doing my first steps with my KX3 S/N 2294 ...
I noticed a click at the end of each given dit and dah in my headphones.
With NR it disappears mostly. With ATTN it disappears completely and
with ATTN off and PRE on it's much louder. I tested a KOSS Porta Pro and
a Sennheiser HD 485.
Hi, my KX3 is back from QRPShop Berlin (Peter, DL2FI). Peter figured out
a bad soldered quartz.

Hello,
this morning I tried the KXUSB and the KX3 utility. No way. So I will
send my KX3 to the german service office in Berlin. And I do not use the
internal batteries. I assembled the batterie holders but in the future I
will definately not use them. So I also didn't bought the KXBC3 option.
Hi, just assembled the Kit S/N 2294 with KXAT3 and KXFL3. No problems
during assembly. I used anti static wristband and mat.
Tried 12V battery and linear power supply. While pressing BAND- and ATU
TUNE the four LED light up. After releasing the buttons the LEDs switch
off and the display

and I can hear some relay-clicking.

then apply power to see if the KX3 powers up normally. If it does then
attach the two halves as I describe above and see if everything
remains OK.
Good Luck and my 73.

Hello,
I bought a used KAT100-1 (ROM 1.04). But the tuners is not working
korrekt. If I press the tune button some relays are making a lot of
noise, but the SWR is still bad. If I run the manual relay test in the
menu, the relays n1,n2,l1...l8 will not work.
But: If I turn the case upside
Dear Doug,
there Is a circuit board. And I did all the test you wrote. I flexed and
bent the board up with high force. I shacked It and I tried to jog the
relays. Nothing. And I resoldered most of the connections.

Holger,
I have no knowledge of that tuner. Is it built
Hello,
normally I use a Heil Pro-Set with IC-4 and the red Kenwood-adapter for
my K2 and for my K3 , too. Now I decided to buy a cheaper headset for
my K2 which I do not use very often.
I bought a computer-headset which has a modified connector and it should
be ready for
