My solution is to tie the key lines in parallel and turn off the power to
the one I am not using. If I forget, they both key, but nothing happens to
the one without drive, as Don notes. I have been doing this for some years
without issue.

The Elecraft team came through. The WOL needs f/w 1.78 (beta) or newer to
function with the KPA1500 Remote and LAN connection.
All is now well!

Many thanks to all who replied! It seems as if there are many sources. Based
on the recommendation of Joe Subich, W4TV, I just ordered from Buxcom

other things I was looking for.

to switch it off when you go to 6 meters, since the
amp quiescent current is high enough when the PTT switches to pop the PS
breaker with 100 W on 6. You learn quickly.

Pete,
The July 2010 review by Norm Fusaro did say that simultaneous transmit and
receive were possible using the two FTdx-9000 receivers (and bandpass
filters), but only on different bands. I believe, but couldn't find, a
clarification in a later issue.

EZNEC and TLW can calculate the actual loss, but it won't be much.

Someday, there could be a version for mast mounting with waterproof

for that.
