My old cable, used with K3 and KPA500 works fine with K4 to KPA 1500 except
the K4 receive is shut down when 1500 in off, regardless of cable or use of
interruptor. Ideas?
Happens Only on 40 and 75, not 20. No receive until 1500 is on. I also
tried the new cable.

I thought the shape factor of the 2.8kHz filter was 1.5 to 1 which is
impressive up front with good deep out of band pass rejection in excess of
70 dB. The DSP adds the final shaping to the signal that exceeds the
roofing filter spec and is therefore the most effective source of final
rejection.

This Remote shack works fine but I am not using it. Raising money for KPA1500.
Also included is separate 110 Volt remote power switch for KPA500. Paid close
to $800. Will sell for $400. Cables specifically for K3, KX3 or K3S.

Heading says it all. My internal batteries are good for 10 plus volts and 5
watts output from KX3. When joined with the KXPA100 there is no function of
the power control over the amp. Power setting max is 5 Watts and no amp
output. With 12 volts applied, power control works well up to 110 watts.
I am using it with my KX3 in Kona, Hawaii. Works well but not quite as well
as the MFJ 17 foot vertical. Easy to tune but I tune the Alexloop and then
finish with the antenna tuner in the Kx3. I cannot get the SWR down by
using the Alexloop cap alone.
