Guess ON4UN is going to order a second radio.
Here are some diveristy recordings I made if you are interested.
This one is 40CW with a beam and beverage on each receiver:

This one is on 1590 kHz AM
of sunspots - you simply can't work Europe hardly
ever. Last week, I worked RA4LW on seven consecutive nights.

This is simply half the reason I am so excited about this radio. The other

This works very well on the K3. Even has a phono jack for the PTT input

Here is a sound sample from the K3. It is best listened to in Stereo.
This took place on 160 meters about 20 minutes ago. I am still walking

There is normally an electric fence in the direction I was listening to,

can clearly hear him sending TR? once and then
N6TA but suspect the dit was lost in the rapid QSB.
A rough sounding sidetone (hum on the sidetone).
Tree, I can copy you just fine, but the 3B7C station I'm catching only a
fragment of a letter here and there. I'll assume the rough sound
, for better
or worse. The point of this recording wasn't to provide a spark for
a debate about DX-pedition operating technique - but rather to give
a sample of what the K3 sounds like.
I'll try to post some more sound files from an upcoming European opening
on 160 for y'all.

Actually - the two are separate.

I have lied to my DSP and told it that I am using a 500 Hz filter. The K3's
father (Wayne) tells me this could be a bad thing - but I like the overall
results.
My next filter purchase? Probably the 6 KHz one - or perhaps 1 kHz.
