I’ve used Cocoa Modem, but frankly I prefer fldigi for the very little digital

we will have not one but four K3s and possibly a fifth. Two will be in the CW

pitch got to zero, I thought the K3 had a lower limit around 400 Hz for the CW
pitch. Anyway glad you found the problem.

As I recall, the K3 uses a combination of 5w and 10w during the auto tune
routine. This is independent of the TUN:PWR setting. From observation, there is
a fair amount of difference in measured SWR at lower power levels which begins
to stabilize around the 5w level.

that, you should be
fine no with your SGC tuner. Just a thought but it does take the extra step of
putting the amp in standby out of the picture and requires no hardware or
firmware changes anywhere.

Scott,
Yes, you would want the same filters in the second RX as are in the main RX,
particularly if you're going to use diversity mode. You will need the general
coverage module as well for use outside the ham bands.

The Griffin iMic is a USB audio device. It has mic/line in and line out and
works quite nicely with Mac OSX. That will take care of the issue and also
isolate you from the system sounds.
