[Elecraft] Need to shift 8 pole 2.1 filter?

My K3 has 2.8 and 2.1 8 pole filters in both main and sub receivers. Set up for zero offset per manual. When I switch to 2.1 filter, I need to use the Shift control to make receive audio sound approx normal. Perhaps 3/4 khz shift. Is this normal? When using the 2.8 filters, no shift is

I am running K3 remotely using TRX Manager. When in the 2.8 filter the shift display is centered on the TRX display, and display below shows 2800. When switching to 2.1, the shift display is still centered. I did notice that the width control slider moves up (by itself), and width display at

Don, I'm running K3 via TRX Manager, and I don't have a HI cut control From what I see, only have XFIL, Shift, and Width controls. Don't see a Hi/Lo command set in programmers guide, either. John. -- View this message in context:

More re TRX Manager - the referenced window is NOT the main control screens for the K3. There are two screens with virtually every command included in the programmer's guide. Can't speak for other radios, but the K3 implementation is splendid. Re my note just above, I don't even see a Hi/Lo

I have put an inquiry into Laurent at TRX Manager. I think everyone that uses his product has found him to be very responsive to suggestions. I was a bit put-off by the implication that my initial inquiry on this topic was only due to resistance in using the K3 features. Not easy to do when

[Elecraft] K3 VOX delay, BG command

I have been using my K3 remotely for several months now. Two requests regarding remote commands. (1) There is no VOX delay command. Using Vox remotely, what is good for normal QSO talking is too slow for DX or Contesting. Would really like a software command to be able to change delay. (2) BG

Yes, you are correct. But this requires being at the radio to turn the knob. I am running K3 remotely, and according to programmer's guide, there is no command to do this via software.John. -- View this message in context:
