The board is definitely not happy. I plugged the aux cable into my KPA500
and as I cycle through the bands I keep getting invalid on the KPA500 screen
when it comes to band. I have a call into Elecraft support.

Is there a way to test this board? I suspect mine has bitten the dust
because it's no longer sending frequency data via cat line to my amp.

That was it, Mike. Dang windows messed with the settings. I've been
restoring this computer for 3 days now and I'm punchy with it.

I don't think the current firmware does this but is there a way to have the
K3S remember power settings based on mode? When I'm operating CW or SSB or
RTTY with a non-Elecraft amp I'd like the power to be x but if I'm operating
Data A (for FT8) I'd like the power to be y.

It's the first word that comes to mind when I think about my past week as
W1AW/1 and my trusty K3's performance. As you might imagine, being W1AW/1
on any band really attracts attention, far more that if I were just CQing as
W1RM (:-). This means some big pileups, and some incredibly weak
had a similar
configuration and was having this problem.

Please help
Is anyone using this combination with automatic bandswitching/tuning? I
have the amp and K3 along with the special cable that connects the K3 to the
amp for auto bandswitching. I'm hoping that will also work with the KAT-500
added.
Thanks,
Pete, W1RM
MicroKeyer II and that comes
via the ACC line so I'm awaiting the arrival of a second Wye for that. All
three ports are independent data so no conflict.
